Darwin Nunez Closes in On Liverpool Exit To Saudi Arabia

Darwin Nunez is close to leaving Liverpool this summer for Saudi Arabia, MySportDab reports.

The Uruguay international has endured dwindling fortunes under new manager Arne Slot.

Despite playing a noticeable role in Liverpool’s run-up to the Premier League triumph last season, he was largely a peripheral figure in the team, used mostly from the bench.

This season, he was understood to be pushing for a move away from the club having fallen out of favour in the Reds’ squad.

Serie A champions Napoli topped the list of European clubs lining up for his services and he was also hopeful staying in Europe after his Liverpool exit.

However, it appears he is likely to take his career off the shores of Europe as things stand.

Napoli and other interested European clubs have slacked on their move for the player with Saudi now emerging as his possible next stop.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Al-Hilal are now close to securing his services into the Saudi Pro League.

The report adds that they have agreed terms with Liverpool on the ballpark transfer fee expected to be in excess of £53m with only agreement on personal terms left to seal the move.

MySportDab understands talks are ongoing between the two parties to settle personal terms and close the deal as soon as possible.

According to Jacobs Ben, Al-Hilal could sort this out in a matter of hours with all set for Nunez to undergo his medical in Germany after the negotiations.

He only hurdle is just him accepting terms with the Saudi club as Liverpool have already given the nod to the move.

The 26-year-old could become the first top-level Liverpool player to leave this summer should Al-Hilal seal the deal for his transfer.
