Sunderland have unveiled their new signing Granit Xhaka who completes a move from Bayer Leverkusen, MySportDab reports.
The newly promoted side are working on building a strong team that will survive the Premier League.
They have been busy in the market trying to secure any player that is willing to join them this summer.
The Premier League side already made a couple of signings before adding Xhaka to to team after reaching an agreement with Leverkusen.
Negotiations for the move wasn’t difficult as both parties were okay with the offer that was brought to them.
Sunderland have now made things official as they announced and unveiled the player as part of their team.
Here Is What Xhaka Said:
“I’m very proud to be here. When I spoke to the Club, I was excited and I felt the energy, and the mentality that all the people and players have.
“It’s exactly what I wanted, and I have a very good feeling. We are back to where this Club needs to be, and we want to stay here to write our own history.
“I feel that I’m ready to help the team with my experience but with quality as well. We need to find ourselves on the pitch, but I don’t think this will be a big problem.
“It’s been a long time to wait, but I’m here now and I’m looking forward to it.”
He signed a three year deal which will keep him with the club until 2028 before any future decisions will be made.
Granit Xhaka will wear the number 34 shirt and will immediately join the team as they are preparing for the new season.
