Ighalo Advises Osimhen to Take Saudi Millions and Return to Europe Later

Former Super Eagles striker Odion Ighalo has advised Victor Osimhen to embrace a move to Saudi Arabia, secure a financial windfall, and return to Europe after two seasons, MySportDab Reports.

Osimhen, 26, has been a constant subject of transfer rumors in recent years, attracting interest from European powerhouses like Real Madrid, PSG, Chelsea, and Manchester United, as well as wealthy Saudi clubs.

Despite rejecting a big-money move to Al-Hilal last summer, Osimhen ended up joining Turkish giants Galatasaray after a failed Chelsea transfer. He led Gala to a domestic double and claimed the league’s Golden Boot.

Al-Hilal are back again this summer with a record-breaking offer, but the Nigerian international has turned them down, expressing a desire to remain in Europe.

Chelsea have signed João Pedro and Liam Delap, while United are reportedly unwilling to meet his wage demands. Galatasaray remain interested, but negotiations with Napoli over a sell-on clause have stalled progress.

Ighalo, who spent four years in the Saudi Pro League, believes Osimhen should take the opportunity now.

“I know people might criticize me, but I don’t care,” Ighalo said on a podcast with Teddy A. “Osimhen has already achieved a lot — top scorer in Italy and Turkey, league titles, African Footballer of the Year. My advice is simple: go to Saudi, secure the bag, and come back stronger. It won’t kill his career; it will prepare him better for the future.”
