Newcastle United manager Eddie Howe has reacted to the seething transfer drama involving their top forward Alexander Isak, MySportDab reports.

Isak is dominating the transfer headlines following interest by Premier League champions Liverpool. We reported earlier Liverpool are ready to break the bank to table a record £125m British offer to Newcastle United for the Swedish attacking sensation.

MySportDab understands Isak is open to joining the Reds and has agreed personal terms, but is facing stuff opposition from Newcastle hierarchy, who consider him key to the squad.

Despite Liverpool’s insane offer, the Magpies have remained adamant on their no-sale decision, but Isak’s latest move – asking to leave the Tyne-based club – is likely to tweak the unfolding drama in Liverpool’s favour.

Now, according to Indykhaila News, Eddie Howe is not happy with the swirling transfer drama involving. Contrary to reports that he was injured, the report adds Isak decided to stay out of Newcastle United’s preseason squad to push through his decision to leave this summer.

Howe is reportedly unfazed by the situation as he sees it as a distraction and wants Newcastle United to sort out the saga as soon as possible.

Isak is still contracted to the club till 2028, but wants a new chapter away from the Magpies with a possible move to Liverpool on sight.

Given recent developments in the transfer saga, he is more likely to leave the club than stay. It understood Newcastle United, while hoping to keep him, are also scouring the market for his replacement should they lose him to rivals.
