Daniel Dubois is brimming with confidence ahead of his highly anticipated rematch against Oleksandr Usyk for the undisputed heavyweight world title at Wembley Stadium on Saturday, MySportDab Reports.
Dubois, 27, currently holds the IBF title, while Usyk, 38, arrives with the WBA, WBC, and WBO belts. The bout is a rematch of their controversial 2023 clash in Wroclaw, Poland, where Dubois was stopped in the ninth round after a contentious low-blow ruling gave Usyk time to recover.
Now on home soil, the Londoner is aiming to become Britain’s first undisputed heavyweight champion since Lennox Lewis in 1999. Usyk, meanwhile, is bidding to unify the division for the second time, having previously held all four belts before vacating the IBF title.
“I’ve resurrected myself, resurrected my career. I’m unstoppable right now,” said Dubois to the BBC. “This time I’m going to cause chaos and win by any means necessary. As soon as the bell rings, it’s seek and destroy.”
Promoter Frank Warren believes fans will witness a transformed Dubois. “Last time they fought Daniel the boy. This time it’s Daniel the man,” Warren said. “Usyk is the best of his generation, but everyone’s unbeatable until they lose—and this could be his time.”
Both fighters are scheduled for open workouts Wednesday and a final press conference Thursday. With pride, revenge, and boxing history on the line, Saturday’s clash promises to be a heavyweight classic.
