Chelsea have commenced talks to sign Ajax defender Jorrel Hato this summer window, MySportDab reports.
The defender is also a target for Premier League Champions Liverpool who are yet to make an approach.
The club World cup are looking at making an attempt to secure a move for the talented young defender.
A move is a bit complicated as the player does not have a release clause which can determine what price he could leave.
However, Ajax already named their price and are only holding up to it before agreeing to go into negotiations.
According to report from Ben Jacob, he confirmed Chelsea are looking at making a move happen for the defender.

“Chelsea hold fresh talks for Jorrel Hato with Liverpool also interested.
“Ajax quoting £60m, but suitors hoping for closer to £40m.
“Hato does not have a release clause.
It is too early to make any call as to where the talks are going but they remain in contact concerning a move which is a possibility.
Jorrel Hato is also open to making a move happen which would help him play in a much bigger environment and compete for major titles going forward.
