Chelsea and Atletico Madrid are already holding talks concerning a move for Renato Veiga this summer, MySportDab reports.
The Portuguese international forced a move away on loan to ensure regular playing time during the January window.
However, since his return, Enzo Maresca opted not to include him for the team who went on to win the FIFA Club World Cup in the United States.
The only available option that was made by the player and Chelsea was to allow his exit with a good fee.
Others like Joao Felix were also axed out by the Blues manager after they left the club to play on loan elsewhere.
According to report from Fabrizio Romano, he confirmed Chelsea are now in talks with Atletico Madrid for a move.
