Bournemouth have announced and unveiled new goalkeeper Djordje Petrović who joins from Chelsea, MySportDab reports.
The move was earlier agreed upon between both club amid talks with Sunderland who almost signed the deal.
It was a complicated move which the final decision was made by the goalkeeper who decided on joining the London side.
Sunderland were said to have already reached an agreement before Bournemouth jumped in and made their offer known.
Djordje Petrović decided on joining the Cherries instead of making a new to the newly Promoted side.
Here Is What Petrović Said:
“I’m really happy to be here. I came to Bournemouth because I want to grow and I want to play at the best level.
“Together with this club, with these facilities, I think we can achieve it.
“I want to help the team get the results, improve every day and be a better player.”
The goalkeeper signed a five year contract which will keep him at the club until 2030 if all things go well or earn another move.
He will move with the club to the United States where their preseason will commence as they look to be in shape before Premier League commence in August.
