Alexander Isak’s transfer saga is on the verge of spiraling into countless episodes of drama, MySportDab reports.
It’s no new Liverpool have stepped up their move for the Swedish forward, but Newcastle United are unrelenting in their bid to keep him.
The Magpies’ have been clear from the start; the 26-year-old still tied to a three-year contract with the club is not for sale.
However, Liverpool aren’t only ready to go all out for the striker but to break the bank as well. We reported earlier they have approached the Tyn-based outfit with a British record £120m offer.
Despite the insane offer, it is understood Newcastle United haven’t ready to budge on their no-sale decision, but they are likely to run into some problems.
Isak is understood to have agreed personal terms with Liverpool as he sees a possible move to the Merseyside outfit as a dream deal to lift his career.
Now according to close sources, Isak has taken his decision to join Liverpool a step further. He is reportedly planning to force an exit to the Premier League champions.
His camp reportedly leaked reports that Liverpool are ready to deal with the Magpies with the record offer to force the Tyn-based side to bow to pressure.
The report also adds that Newcastle United are mounting a pressure on Isak, asking him to publicly declare his commitment to the club to drown the exit reports – a move he has turned down.
It is yet to be determined whether Liverpool will come out winners in the battle for Isak’s services or Newcastle United will beat the odds and keep him for next season and beyond.
