Tottenham Hotspur are set for a new chapter with a new helmsman after parting ways with Ange Postecoglou, MySportDab reports.

The North London outfit ended their collaboration with Postecoglou after the team finished just a place above the relegation zone at the end of the season.

However, it wasn’t an entirely blighted campaign for the team under Postecoglou. The Aussie led the team to their first silverware in 17 years, edging out Manchester United in the Europa League final to clinch the European second-tier trophy.

The victory also saw the team secure their place in the Champions League next season.

Celebrating the milestone with the fans, Ange Postecoglou hinted at having a third season with the club.

However, close sources confirmed the club’s hierarchy were indifferent to the Europa League title win and were bent on parting ways with him following the poor domestic run.

With his future up in the air, Postecoglou proceeded on vacation after the season.

A few days later, Tottenham announced the end of their collaboration with the former Celtic boss, thanking him for his contributions to the team during his two years in the dugout.

Meanwhile, before the sack decision, it is understood the search for Postecoglou’s replacement had long begun.

Brentford manager Thomas Frank led the list of potential candidates to replace the 56-year-old.

Now, according to Fabrizio Romano, Tottenham have quickly sealed the deal to have the Danish coach become their new manager.

The report reveals personal terms have been agreed and the Londoners are ready to pay Frank’s £10million release clause to Bentford to acquire the top-rated gaffer.

Thomas Frank joined Brentford as assistant manager in 2016 from Danish side Brondy. He was promoted to the head coach, replacing Dean Smith in 2018. A year later, he led the club to promotion to the Premier League and has ensured they remained in the top flight since then.

The move to Tottenham Hotspur marks a major milestone in his managerial career. Having garnered enough experience in the Premier League, he will be expected to return the team to a formidable force in the division, contending for Champions League places, including the league title.
