Nine Manchester United players will see their spell with the club come to an end following the conclusion of the 2024-25 season, MySportDab reports.

According to Manchester Evening News, United have submitted their end-of-season retained list to the Premier League, confirming retained and released players.

Leading the names of players axed from the squad is Christian Eriksen. Eriksen made his last Premier League appearance for United in the final matchday win over Aston Villa.

He will run out of contract by June 30 with the club remaining firm on their decision not to renew.

Another key name in the Red Devils’ chopping block is Victor Lindelof. The Swede center-back has been at Manchester United since 2017 and has racked up 194 Premier League appearances, scoring four goals.

He will leave this summer as a free agent following the expiration of his contract.

Another centre-back Jonny Evans, who initially played for Manchester United from 2006 to 2015 before returning recently in 2023, will also leave the club this summer.

Before the expiration of his contract on June 30, Evans officially called time on his career, ending close to two decades of his playing career.

The aforementioned first-team players are not the only names bound for the exit door at Old Trafford this summer.

The club also announced the release of some Academy players from their contracts. Hubert Graczyk, Jack Kingdon, Sam Murray, Tom Myles, James Nolan and Tom Wooster make the list of Academy players expected to leave as their contract expires this summer.

Notably, these expected exits this summer delineate new manager Ruben Amorim’s resolve to streamline and overhaul the squad for the next campaign.

Even contracted first-team players such as Ramus Hojlund, Jadon Sancho, and Alejandro Garnacho are all expected to leave through transfers as the Portuguese double down on re-engineering and revamping the squad.
