Manchester City’s center-back options for next season has been depleted as French giants OGC Nice completes move for a mole in the Etihad outfit’s defense ranks, MySportDab reports.
Notably, the seven-time Premier League champions are gearing up for next season after a disappointing run in the just-concluded campaign.
They have added four new names – all elite-level players – to their ranks and are expected to reassert themselves in the race for the title come next season.
Leading the list of these latest additions to the squad is former AC Milan’s terrific midfielder Tijjani Reijnders.
Others are Rayan Ait-Nouri from Wolves, Rayan Cherki from Lyon, and Marcus Bettinelli from Chelsea.
Conversely, they have lost Kevin De Bruyne to Napoli and are also expected to part ways with Kyle Walker who has returned from loan at AC Milan.
Now, according to Fabrizio Romano, Sierra Leonean center-back Juma Bah is also set to leave this summer. The report adds OGC Nice have reached an agreement with City to sign the player on a season-long loan deal.
It is yet unclear whether a buy option is included in the loan terms but Juma Bah might be plying his trade away from the Etihad side going forward.
He joined the club last summer from Real Valladolid and has yet to make a first-team appearance since then.
Next season, the 19-year-old is still expected to be a distant name in Pep Guardiola’s squad hence the decision to loan him to OGC Nice.
City have five center-back options in Manuel Akanji, Khusanov, Vitor Reis, John Stones and Nathan Ake heading into the next campaign.
