Premier League champions Liverpool are not slowing down on their massive reinforcements this summer, MySportDab reports.
New manager Arne Slot achieved the impossible leading the team to their 20th and first Premier League title in five years.
For the records, Slot attained this remarkable milestone literally rolling with the entire squad he inherited from his predecessor Jurgen Klopp.
With little or no addition, the former Feyenoord led the Merseyside outfit to the England Championship and is hopeful of retaining the title come next season, hence the massive effort in the transfer market to beef up the squad.
So far, they have completed deals for two top-rated players in defence and midfield positions, brining in Jeremy Frimpong and Florian Wirtz, respectively.
Notably, Wirtz, Slot’s latest addition to the team, has now emerged as the club’s most expensive signing with a transfer fee in excess of €140million.
For the Reds to fork out a whooping €140million for a player shows clarity of intent and preparation for the next campaign.
And just a few hours after the deal, the club are reportedly weighing into another big move for French Ligue 1 player.
According to The Sun, PSG and French attacking sensation Bradley Barcola is now on Slot’s radar as Liverpool’s next target.
Barcola played a paramount role in PSG’s treble-winning campaign this season. He scored 14 Ligue 1 goals plus 10 assists in 34 appearances to enable the team clinch the Ligue 1 title.
He also netted four goals in six French Cup matches to secure the second domestic silverware for the Parisians in the season.
In the Champions League, the 22-year-old scored three goals plus four assists in 17 matches to hand the team their first European title.
A move to the Merseyside outfit could mark another big career milestone for the forward. However, it is yet unclear whether Liverpool can successfully pull it through.
He has three years left on his contract and is considered a key player for PSG future under current manager Luis Enrique.
