Arsenal have reached an agreement with Chelsea to sign Kepa Arrizabalaga as their new goalkeeper, MySportDab reports.
Talks has been going on between both parties for a long time before an agreement was reached today after long negotiations.
The Blues already made it clear that the goalkeeper wasn’t part of their plan after coming back from his loan move with Bournemouth.
Kepa did put up some incredible states but it wasn’t enough for him to reclaim his number one position which he lost twice.
The decision was made earlier that an exit for the Spanish International would happen regardless of his performance.
Bournemouth opted out of making any permanent deal for some unknown reasons which many claimed the goalkeeper wanted to play with a top team.
According to Fabrizio Romano, he confirmed that Arsenal have reached an agreement to sign the goalkeeper as a backup.
Here Is What Was Said:
“Arsenal agree deal to sign Kepa as new goalkeeper from Chelsea.
“Arsenal activate £5m release clause as all details of the transfer have been agreed also with the player’s camp.
“David Raya and Kepa will be the main goalkeepers for Arsenal, one more addition for Mikel Arteta’s squad.
Medical will commence immediately as the goalkeeper is expected to travel with Arsenal for their preseason.
