Luka Modric has confirmed he will be leaving Real Madrid despite earlier claims of him staying, MySportDab reports.
The midfielder was expected to extend his contract beyond the current expiring date which is the current season.
Talks have been making headlines that he would extend his contract in no time, but the opposite is the case today.
He won’t extend as the club is now looking into a new direction that won’t involve the player taking part in any.
The reason behind the new decision for the Croatian to leave Real Madrid has been made public.
The club are expected to unveil Xabi Alonso as their new manager which has brought about some new direction and changes.
According to Fabrizio Romano, he confirmed the reason why Modric won’t be staying longer at the club.
