“I Am Embarrased,”- Ruben Amorim Amidst Frustration Amidst United Struggles

Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim has expressed his frustration following the club’s run of poor results, MySportDab reports.

The Portuguese tactician has endured a horrid spell at United since taking over the managerial role from Erik Ten Hag back in October.

Initially, United fans had thought the fast-rising young manager, who excelled at Sporting Lisbon, was the panacea for United’s prolonged misfortunes.

Now, his eight-month spell has left much to be desired, with some fans beginning to lose confidence in the 40-year-old.

Amorim has failed to replicate his domestic success with Sporting Lisbon at United. He is now overseeing the Red Devils’ worst-ever Premier League campaign.

United currently sit 16th on just 39 points after 37 matches. Yesterday’s 1-0 defeat against Chelsea compounded the woes on the Amorim side, with the team now going winless in their last eight matches for the first time in history.

Overall, have won just six times on the domestic scene under Amorim, losing or drawing 26.

Speaking on his team’s form, the United gaffer admitted he was embarrassed.

”I am embarrassed that in 25 games, we have won six, something is wrong with the way we are playing football.’ He told Sky Sports

‘’Sometimes it is not about the way we play tactically, it is the way we face competition and suffer. When we get mad about losing.’ The United boss added.

Amorim will, however, try to get his team’s mind off the defeat to Chelsea yesterday and have them focused on the showdown against Tottenham Hotspur in the Europa League final on Wednesday.

The Reds Devils will hope to salvage what has been a largely underwhelming season with a victory against their Premier League rivals in the final of the European second tier.
