Spanish prosecutors have taken legal action against Real Madrid player Raul Asencio for allegations of sex-related offense, MySportDab reports.

According to Spanish outlets, prosecutors have charged the footballer following reports of the player’s alleged involvement in the sex-related abuse of two women.

Asencio, who is an integral part of Los Blancos senior squad now, is said to have circulated sexual images of the two women in question.

Details of the report reveal, he was with the Real Madrid Castilla (reserve) team and was aged 21 when the incident occured in August 2023.

Other three former members of the Real Madrid reserve squad (identities undisclosed) are said to have been complicit in the alleged misconduct and have been prosecuted as well.

The circulated images involved videos and sex tapes of the alleged victims, and one of them was a minor.

The minor was reportedly 16 years old at the time of the incident.

The trial has opened and according to Spanish outlets, Asencio and his co-horts could face prison sentences or hefty fines if found guilty.

At the time of filing this report, Asencio has yet to comment on the incident, including Real Madrid.

He started Real Madrid’s La Liga matchday 36 fixture against Mallorca on Wednesday night, helping the team to a 2-1 win.

The Spaniard has been gaining grounds in the Los Blancos defense setup recently due to the injury crisis rocking the team at the back lately.

However, his recent gains and entire career with Los Blancos could be at risk if he fail to come out unscathed from the allegations.
