Real Madrid have completed their move for Dean Huijsen, MySportDab reports.
Huijsen emerged as Los Blancos’ target for the La Liga and European giants as they double down on their attempt to reinforce their defence for the next campaign.
The Spanish youngster broke into the spotlight following his mature and standout performances for Bournemouth this season.
He has been an integral part of Andoni Iraola’s side’s rollercoaster run this season, manning the center-back role with grace and maturity that defies his age.
The 20-year-old has three years on a Bournemouth contract but had a triggerable release clause of £50million.
He had attracted interest from top Premier League clubs, with Liverpool among the top domestic rivals who were interested in his services.
However, with Real Madrid also in the queue for him, the youngster reportedly gave a nod to joining the European giants for a new chapter away from the Premier League.
Now, according to Madrid Xtra, Real Madrid have completed the move for the player. Agreements have been reached on both salary and contract duration.
Club terms have also been settled with Bournemouth. Details of the agreement with the Cherries for Huijsen, as reported by Fabrizio Romano, involve an instalment payment of Huijsen’s €50million release clause, with the full payment expected to be completed in 2026.
This means Dean Huijsen could likely join Real Madrid as one of their players in the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup in August.
He is now the second defender to be poached into Los Blancos’defense ranks this summer after Liverpool right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold.
