Liverpool sensation Mac Allister has won the Premier League Player of the Month award for April, MySportDab reports.
The Argentine midfielder has been in the form of his life since joining the Merseyside outfit in 2023 from Brighton.
He scored five goals plus five assists in 33 league appearances on his debut season, cementing his place as a priority midfield option for the Reds.
Despite the change in hands in Liverpool’s dugout this season, Allister has retained a go-to and first-choice midfield option under the new boss, Arne Slot.
With three matches left in the season, he has already racked up 34 Premier League appearances, racking up another 10 goal contributions, comprising five goals and five assists, as last season.
Notably, Allister’s contributions in the Liverpool squad are far beyond the count of goals and assists. His positioning skills, intelligence, and passing abilities have made him an invaluable asset in Liverpool’s Premier League title charge.
Also, the sensational playmaker has been renowned for his ability to control the tempo of Liverpool’s game, checkmate opposition’s offense, and also initiate and co-ordinate the Reds’ attacks.
This season, his contributions to the squad earned him a deserved nomination into the list of players for the Premier League award for April.
In the month in question, Allister scored two goals for Liverpool and created 10 chances to cap his standout performances for the team.
It is the first time he has clinched the award, but one that attests to his resourcefulness and pedigree in the game. He will hope to continue his elite-level performances for the club.
