Liverpool are closing in on competing the move for Florian Writz with Bayer Leverkusen, MySportDab reports.
The negotiations have been ongoing for some days after the player gave the greenlight of wanting only the Premier League side.
There was talk about Real Madrid, but the player was never open to the option of playing under Xabi Alonso again.
A decision was taken which favored Liverpool who immediately jumped into trying to complete a move quickly.

According to report coming from Fabrizio Romano, he confirmed the Premier League club are already getting close to a done deal.
