Bayer Leverkusen are now pushing to complete a deal for Erik Ten Hag to become their new manager, MySportDab reports.
The former Manchester United manager is also linked with a return to Ajax where he once coached the team.
He was shockingly sacked from Old Trafford despite signing a new contract before the 2024/2025 season started.
He has been without a job since his exit from Manchester United which has seen him get linked with numerous teams.
He is now expected to return to coaching with Bayer Leverkusen now pushing to complete a move for the Dutch coach.
According to Fabrizio Romano, he confirmed that the Germans have now advanced with talks on signing the coach.
Here Is What Was Said:
“Bayer Leverkusen made progress in talks with Erik ten Hag to become their new head coach.
“Ten Hag has given his total availability after direct contact taking place earlier this week.
A deal is likely to be completed as the German side trusts the manager to continue where Xabi Alonso stopped before accepting Real Madrid’s move.
Erik Ten Hag will look to see what happens next as he is open to making the move to Germany where he has been seen a couple of times.
