Bruno Fernandes may be calling an end to his Manchester United spell in what will be a shocking and the biggest development in this summer’s transfer window, MySportDab reports.
Saudi Pro League giants Al-Hilal have been on the trail of the Man United skipper and have been intent on securing his services as early as possible before the FIFA Club World Cup in the United States in August.
We reported earlier that an insane £700,000-a-week offer has been tabled for the player as of last Monday.
Interestingly, Saudi outlets added that the offer came with a 72-hour ultimatum for the Portuguese to take a decision.
At the time of filing this report, sources close to the United top star have confirmed he has yet to take a decision on the offer.
However, there is a shocking new twist to the unfolding transfer drama.
As expected, Bruno has remained mute on the offer since he is still under contract with Man United, but a possible switch to the Saudi side hasn’t been ruled out due to recent developments in the unfolding transfer saga.
According to Chris Wheeler of Daily Mail, Bruno Fernandes’ agent Pinho has been spotted in Saudi Arabia amidst the speculations on Bruno’s future.
The report adds Pinho traveled to the Gulf State to negotiate terms of contract for his client with Al-Hilal.
While details of the negotiations are sketchy, it is understood it has been positive with both parties hopeful of agreeing terms for a deal.
Bruno Fernandes’ commitment to Man United is unquestioned despite this unfolding report. The Portuguese went candid on his future at United after the Europa League final loss to Tottenham Hotspur.
According to him, his United future is not in his hands, but the owners who may choose to cash in on him if they have a good offer.
Aside from Al-Hilal’s lucrative offer to Bruno, Man United are still expected to have the final say on whether he leaves or not.
MySportDab learnt the 2023-24 Saudi champions are ready to offer as much as £100m in transfer fee to the Red Devils for Bruno and it is yet to be determined whether they will accept the offer given their dwindling financial fortunes.
