Barcelona manager Hansi Flick has confirmed update on the fitness of Lamine Yamal ahead of Barcelona’s Copa Del Rey final matchup against arch-domestic rivals Real Madrid, MySportDab reports.

The German tactician will have a chance to win his second domestic title with Barcelona with the Catalan giants square up against the La Liga and European champions in the highly-anticipated El-Clasico final in Seville on Saturday.

Notably, Barcelona have been handed a double injury boost ahead of the rollercoaster clash with Dani Olmo and Andre Ter Stegen back to the squad from the sidelines.

However, there were still concerns about the fitness of one of their promising, exciting, and talented young wingers Lamine Yamal.

The record-breaking youngster, who has been crucial in Barcelona’s run-ins to secure a quadruple this season, was replaced late in the 1-0 win over Mallorca at the weekend.

This sparked speculations of a potential injury blow, given the fact that he couldn’t also play the full 90 minutes in their Champions League quarter-final first leg win over Borussia Dortmund earlier on.

With Robert Lewandowski out of the Catalans’ attacking options for the El-Clasico clash, also missing Lamine Yamal would been fatal for Blaugrana.

Amidst the injury scares for the youngster, Hansi Flick has come out to clear the air on the situation. Speaking ahead of the match, Flick confirmed Yamal is fit and will be available for the match while lauding his quality.

“Lamine Yamal is an incredible player. I think he will be ready tomorrow. And you will be surprised when you see the training now. He has something special for you,” he said as quoted by Fabrizio Romano.

Yamal has enjoyed a stellar individual campaign with Barcelona this season. He has scored six goals plus 12 assists in 30 La Liga appearances and 4 goals plus 3 assists in 12 Champions League matches.

His return is a big boost for the team ahead of the crunch tie against Real Madrid on Saturday.
