Dortmund seized the initiative early when Serhou Guirassy coolly chipped home an 11th‑minute penalty which made things 1-0.

The penalty came after goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny hauled down Pascal Groß in the box very early in the match.

The visitors were under intense pressure, and Szczesny was called into action repeatedly as things progressed.

The Barca keeper notably produced a superb double save in the 48th minute to deny Karim Adeyemi and Groß in quick succession .

After the interval, Guirassy struck again in the 49th minute, nodding in from close range following a drilled corner that Ramy Bensebaini had helped direct across goal.

The game moved away Dortmund when Bensebaini inadvertently turned a Fermin López cross into his own net in the 53rd minute which increased the aggregate.

Guirassy completed his hat‑trick in the 76th minute, firing home after Ronald Araújo’s clearance fell kindly to him.

Ultimately, Barcelona’s commanding 4‑0 first‑leg triumph proved decisive, and they withstood Dortmund’s onslaught to reach their first Champions League semi‑final since 2019.
