He grew up as the son of two of the most decorated players in tennis history, yet he chose an entirely different sport: baseball, a decision his parents actively supported rather than discouraged.

Now in his mid-20s, Jaden has pitched at the University of Southern California, played in the MLB Draft League, and represented Germany, his mother’s home country, in international competition.

Jaden Gil Agassi Biography

Jaden Gil Agassi

He was born on October 26, 2001, in Las Vegas, Nevada, just days after his parents, Andre Agassi and Steffi Graf, married in a private ceremony at their Las Vegas home.

Jaden Gil Agassi has one younger sibling, his sister Jaz Elle Agassi, who was born on October 3, 2003.

Between them, Andre Agassi and Steffi Graf won 30 Grand Slam singles titles during their careers, with Andre completing a Career Golden Slam and Steffi achieving the only Calendar Golden Slam in tennis history in 1988.

Despite this, both parents made a deliberate decision not to push tennis on their children.

Andre has spoken candidly about this choice, referencing the intense pressure his own father placed on him as a child.

He told USA Today that attaching a child’s right to be loved to athletic performance is a tragedy.

Steffi has echoed those sentiments, saying that tennis was never something they introduced heavily into their children’s lives, allowing Jaden and Jaz to choose their own paths instead.

Personal Life

Andre Agassi Son

Jaden has been in a relationship with Catherine Holt since September 2022. Holt has built her own career in sports, earning a degree in Applied Physiology and Sports Management and completing an internship with the Texas Rangers organization.

The couple frequently shares glimpses of their relationship on social media, including photos of their French bulldog. As of 2026, they are approaching their fourth anniversary together.

Despite growing up as the son of two global sports icons, Jaden has said his parents worked hard to give him and his sister as normal an upbringing as possible in Las Vegas.

He has explained that he only gradually came to understand the scale of his parents’ fame through the reactions of strangers in public.

Andre has described this as a natural part of raising children with famous parents, saying his children eventually came to understand why people reacted to them the way they did.

In June 2026, Jaden made a rare public appearance alongside his father at the French Open in Paris, attending the men’s semifinal together.

Photos from the outing went viral after fans noticed that Jaden now stands noticeably taller than Andre, a detail that drew widespread attention online given how rarely Jaden appears in public compared to his parents.

Career

Agassi Career

Jaden has said he started playing baseball at age six in T-ball and fell in love with the sport immediately. He has explained that while he occasionally picked up a tennis racket growing up, he struggled to keep the ball within the lines.

Instead, he found that he wanted to hit the ball as far as he could, a preference that naturally steered him toward baseball rather than his parents’ sport.

Jaden played baseball throughout high school, developing into a promising pitcher and earning recognition as one of the top recruits in his class thanks to his fastball.

He also spent time with the Las Vegas Recruits travel team. His high school career included a significant setback when he tore his ulnar collateral ligament, requiring Tommy John surgery.

He used the recovery period, which coincided with the COVID-19 pandemic shutdown, to rebuild and refine his pitching mechanics.

Baseball

Jaden Gil Agassi committed to the University of Southern California and played college baseball for the Trojans from 2021 to 2023, primarily as a right-handed pitcher.

After his time at USC, he pitched for the Santa Barbara Foresters in the California Collegiate League in 2023.

In 2024, he joined the Mahoning Valley Scrappers of the MLB Draft League, where he posted a 2.96 ERA with 9.2 strikeouts per nine innings, a strong performance that reflected his continued development as a pitcher.

He went undrafted in both the 2023 and 2024 MLB Drafts. In 2025, Jaden represented Germany, his mother’s home country, at the World Baseball Classic Qualifiers in Tucson, Arizona, making his international debut for the German national team.

Steffi Graf won an Olympic gold medal for West Germany in 1988, and Jaden’s decision to represent Germany connected his own athletic journey to his mother’s homeland, even while competing in a completely different sport. Germany ultimately did not qualify for the 2026 World Baseball Classic from that qualifying tournament.

Jaden has spoken about how supportive his parents have been throughout his baseball career despite their own backgrounds in tennis.

He told WKBN News that although his parents come from a different sport, their experience competing at the highest level has made them an invaluable resource. He added that his goal is to make the Agassi name as well known in baseball as it is in tennis.
