Belgium, though spirited, were left frustrated by missed chances, while France overcame a red card to hold on for three crucial points.
The game began with high intensity, as Belgium dominated early proceedings. They missed an opportunity to take the lead when Youri Tielemans’ 23rd-minute penalty flew over the crossbar.
France capitalized on this miss when Kolo Muani scored his first goal of the match from the penalty spot in the 35th minute, following a handball by Wout Faes.
