Chelsea has made Enzo Maresca’s unveiling official as he is set to commence work immediately with the team, MySportDab reports.
It has been a long wait with many fans already asking questions concerning the new manager who was announced earlier.
Enzo Maresca is finally here with the Chelsea team who have made his unveiling official today as they are expected to commence working.
The former Leicester City boss completed a move to Stamford Bridge after winning the Championship title with the Foxes who gained automatic promotion.
He was also with Pep Guardiola at Manchester City where he worked as an assistant directly with the Spanish coach as his number one man.
Here Is What Maresca Said:
“Very happy [to be here], excited, it will be a fantastic journey and yeah, excited to start as soon as possible.”
“One of the reasons I’m here is because I’m convinced that the squad is very good.
“As you said, full of talent. The most important thing now is that we are able to create the right culture that drives us for the season.”
“I’ve always said the same: ‘if you are able to improve players, that means that you improve the team.
“So, it’s our target to try to improve all of them day by day.”
“I think every manager has their own idea or style. Mine is quite clear.”
“It’s very important because we need to know each other. I already feel I know all of them to be honest because I’ve watched so many games in the last two or three weeks. So feel I know all of them.”
“But it’s always different when you spend day by day with the person. You can see them through games but when you spend day by day with the players, with the human beings, the people, you receive a different kind of feeling.”
“So it’s very important to start on Monday and I’m very excited.”
The new Chelsea boss signed a longterm contract as those running the show believe he is the man that could turn things around.
His contract also shows how much time the club want to give him to ensure he builds the team in his own way.
Enzo Maresca style of play is what made Chelsea pushing to bring him in knowing how he turned Leicester City team around.
