Niclas Fuellkrug late goal rescue Germany as they played out a 1-1 draw against Switzerland in the final group game for Euro 2024, MySportDab reports.
The Germans had an early goal which was chopped off by VAR after a review which saw things continue between them.
Both team did qualify from the group despite how things finished with the host Nation finishing number one place.

It was a good start from both teams which came in with intention of making something happen from the kickoff of things.
Germany started well dominating play which saw Robert Andrich scored a goal in the 17th minutes but it wasn’t meant to be as VAR ruled out the goal.
Switzerland did well enough to maintain good composure which helped them battling everything their opponent had to offer in terms of attacking.
Dan Ndoye made it count for the Swiss in the 28th minutes of action which saw Freuler coming through to make the assist as things turned 1-0.
There was nothing much both teams could do as Switzerland headed for the break leading with 1-0 against Germany who were unlucky.
There was enough which came in the second half as they continued doing everything possible on their end to make something.
It was a close game which saw Switzerland doing everything they could to remain with their lead while also pushing for another goal which did not come.
The game continued with Germany searching desperately knowing they are playing as the host nation with so much expectations placed on them to win.
Nothing was happening with the match hitting 90 minutes on the dot and still it was the host nation chasing the game so badly.
Niclas Fuellkrug came through with a dine minutes goal which was able to see Germany end the match with a 1-1 draw against Switzerland which ensured they finish as number one.
