Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola is set to leave the club at the end of next season, MySportDab reports.

According to a report by Daily Mail, Manchester City are planning or Guardiola’s imminent exit after the next campaign.

Girona manager Michel Sanchez has been identified as his potential new successor should the Spaniard leave after next summer as reported.

Speaking on his Manchester City future after winning his sixth Premier League title with the club, Guardiola confirmed he continue on the reins as Manchester City manager next season but added he will negotiate with the club on his future after then.

“I will continue next season as manager but I know I may not stay longer,” he said after City’s Premier League triumph.

Guardiola established himself as one of the most successful managers in the Premier League following his remarkable seven-year stint with Manchester City.

He has won 15 major trophies with the club, including six Premier League titles to cap a remarkable seven-year run in the Cityzen’s dugout.

The former Bayern Munich manager’s dominant sail into the English top-flight climaxed in the just concluded 2023-24 season when he became the first Premier League manager to win for Premier League titles in a row.

The four peat followed what was a successful preceding 2022-23 campaign with the club in which he won City’s first treble, and the second in his managerial career.

After next season, the 54-year-old will complete a nine-year cycle with City before leaving the club as the best they ever had.
