Manchester United have suffered a fresh injury blow ahead of their FA Cup semifinal tie against Coventry City on Sunday. MySportDab reports.

Man United manager Erik ten Hag will hope to boost his chances of continuing in the reins as Man United manager as he pushes through to clinch the FA Cup trophy – the only hope of silverware for the Red Devils this season.

Ahead of the game, the squad has been grounded further with spates of newly-recorded injuries.

We reported earlier United’s defence department has been hit hard by the crippling injury crisis with Raphael Varane, Victor Lindelof, and Johnny Evans recently added to the list.

Recall Tyrell Malacia, Luke Shaw, and Lisandro Martinez, are still sidelined and will not be available for the Red Devils.

With Varane, Lindelof, and Evans added to the injury list, Erik ten Hag is well short of options ahead of the Coventry City clash.

Now, according to Fabrizio Romano, the injury crisis has gotten worse for United ahead of the FA Cup match on Sunday.

Mason Mount, who recently returned to action after a lengthy injury layoff, has been reportedly injured again and will miss the Coventry match.

Willy Kambwala, who recently got promoted to Man United’s first team and has enjoyed a successful break-in, is also injured and will miss the game as well.

This means Erik ten Hag has only one fit center-back – Harry Maguire – ahead of the Coventry game.

The Dutch will now has to improvise for a second center-back to partner with Harry Maguire in the game with defensive midfielder Casemiro a more likely option.

The fresh injury blow has made United the worst-hit Premier League club this season with the most number of injuries.

As per Transfermarkt, the club have recorded 60 injury cases this season – the most tally ever recorded by a Premier League club in a single season.
