Chelsea Mauricio Pochettino has confirmed he received a text from Chelsea owners after the shock home defeat to Wolves in the Premier League, MySportDab reports.

Against the run of play, Chelsea surrendered a 1-0 early lead at Stamford Bridge to suffer a shock 2-4 defeat to Wolves.

Matheus Cunha bagged a hat-trick to cancel Cole Palmer’s early lead and put Wolves in front. Axel Disasi scored a ludicrous own goal to add to the tally as the Blues went down 4-1 before Thiago Silva’s late headers reduced the deficit.

Mauricio Pochettino has been under pressure with fans and pundits losing confidence in his capabilities to overturn Chelsea’s misfortunes.

The Blues dropped to 11th on the Premier League table after the loss and were overtaken by the visitors, who stormed out of Stamford Bridge with an emphatic victory.

Speaking in his post-match press conference after the defeat, Mauricio Pochettino apologized to the fans for the poor performance and promised an immediate bounce back to winning ways.

Nevertheless, his job has been more insecure than ever as thing stands with Todd Boehly more likely to part ways with the Argentine if the downward spiral of events is not reversed.

Speaking ahead of Chelsea’s FA Cup replay against Aston Villa, Mauricio Pochettino has revealed that he got a text from the club’s hierarchy expressing their support despite the loss to Wolves.

In a quote shared by Fabrizio Romano, Pochettino said;

“I received a very good text after the game against Wolves from the owners. We’re all together in this!”

The former PSG and Tottenham manager will be hoping to return the Blues to winning ways when they take on Aston Villa in an FA Cup replay.
