Phil Foden scored as Manchester City claimed a 0-1 victory against Bournemouth to narrow down points between them and Liverpool at the top, MySportDab reports.

Erling Haaland failed once again to make anything happen for the Champions who had to later remove him from the encounter.

Phil Foden once again made sure his influence was felt as he managed to help his side overcome another stubborn opponent.

It was a fair game for both sides who came in with different objectives which were planned out by their respective managers.

Bournemouth were the less favorite and they planned to hold on as long as possible and see what they could have made happen for themselves going forward.

Manchester City sustained dominance until Phil Foden made it count for them through an incredible finish which came to play in the 24th minute as things turned 0-1 between them.

The game continued with different things coming into play, but one thing for sure was the dominance shown by the Champions who could have increased their advantage but failed.

Bournemouth did well enough to hold on despite concerns about what they could have prevented leaving the game to end in the 45 minutes 0-1 in favor of Manchester City.

The composure remained the same from the second half which saw City pushing to see what else they could make happen from their dominance.

Manchester City saw more opportunities to score but they couldn’t as Erling Haaland was struggling to manage his chances which were bad until he was removed.

Bournemouth did give themselves a lot to fight for as they continued pushing knowing the scoreline was slim, but nothing seemed to work out for them moving on.

Manchester City made sure the three points were sealed after ending the match victorious 0-1 against Bournemouth who gave them a good run but ended up falling behind.
