Enzo Fernandez has broken his long-held silence on rumors linking him to an exit from Chelsea, MySportDab reports.

According to footballtransfers.com, a close source revealed Enzo Fernandez is not happy at Chelsea just a year into his eight-and-a-half-year contract with the Blues.

The 2022 World Cup winner was said to be among Chelsea stars who were downbeat with the club’s dwindling fortunes this season and have regretted signing long-term contracts with the club.

In Enzo Fernandez’s case, the player is said to have advised his long-time personal companion and agent Uriel Perez to scour for new clubs that would vy for his services.

On the purported orders of Enzo, Perez is said to have started scouring the market for possible destinations for the Argentine as he braces for his Chelsea exit.

Now, according to a report shared by Transfer Live and Fabrizio Romano, Enzo Fernandez has debunked rumors he wanted to leave Chelsea.

Speaking with ESPN, the Argentine midfield sensation categorically stated he is happy at with his teammates at Chelsea and the club’s staff, and had never wanted to leave the club.

Enzo Fernandez further added he will stay at Chelsea till the expiration of his contract except the club decide otherwise.

“No, I don’t want to leave Chelsea. I feel very good here with my teammates and all the technical staff.

The people at the club treat me very well. I will stay here until they decide otherwise.”

Enzo Fernandez joined Chelsea at the stroke of 2022 transfer window on a record £106.8m from Benfica. He has been an integral member of the Blues’ squad despite the multiple change of hands at the Blues dugout since he joined the club.

He has made 4 Champions League, 6 EFL Cup, and 39 Premier League appearances for the club, scoring 5 goals with 2 assists.
