Mason Greenwood,

Mason Greenwood is reportedly pushing for a transfer move to Barcelona, MySportDab reports.

The Manchester United loanee to Getafe is a top target for top La Liga clubs following his impressive loan shift with Getafe.

Greenwood has 5 goals in 19 games for Getafe and has shown flashes of his individual brilliance for the Madrid-based club.

Barcelona are top on the list of clubs interested in signing Mason Greenwood. The Catalan club sees Greenwood as a perfect fit for club and a great long-term prospect.

Spanish outlets reveal Barcelona were considering a £40m transfer swoop for Mason Greenwood but are likely to slug it out on the negotiation table with Manchester United for the services of the youngster.

According to The Sun, Mason Greenwood is himself pushing for a move to Barcelona.

The report adds the Manchester United loanee has told his advisers to facilitate his transfer switch to the Catalan club to fulfill his ‘dream’ of playing for the club.

A move to Camp Nou would be seen as a major leap in Mason Greenwood’s career but United will have to sanction the move.

Greenwood has six months remaining on his Getafe loan deal and will be expected back at Old Trafford when his deal expire.

He will be on the last 12 months of his Manchester United contract when the current loan deal expire.

It is understood Manchester United will not allow Mason Greenwood leave for free but there are no plans to have him extend his contract with the club.

Despite a sensational return to action after his 18-month exile due to sexual assault allegations, Greenwood is more likely to continue with his career away from Manchester United with a possible transfer exit next summer.
