Tunisia suffered an opening game defeat against Namibia 0-1 in their AFCON 2023 clash, MySportDab reports.

The Carthage Eagles couldn’t make much happen in the encounter which they had to bow to a late goal from their opponent.

Deon Hotto goal was the big difference between both teams as the Namibians made sure they had a wonderful start to their AFCON 2023.

They started well from their end with objective of making sure they claimed the victory needed going forward.

The Carthage Eagles of Tunisia were tipped to get the result on paper based off their squad having more qualities and the upper hand.

For Namibia it was all about them trying to see what they were up against as the match carried on before they knew what to do to get something.

The game continued with nothing working between them as things was evenly balanced as they carried on creating numerous opportunities.

Namibia were able to hold Tunisia to a 0-0 scoreline after 45 minutes of action which saw them both doing everything trying to get a goal.

They resumed in the second half with different approach from both teams who already knew what their opponent are capable of doing.

Namibia continued to grow in confidence as the game progressed with them also getting some opportunities although they couldn’t make them count.

It was more pressure from Tunisia but still nothing to make any changes with the scoreline which stayed 0-0 as they hit the one hour make.

Deon Hotto was able to break the deadlock with a shocker in the 88th minutes which was able to see things turn 0-1 between them as they pushed on.

Namibia were able to hold their ground all through as they defeated Tunisia 0-1 after 90 minutes of football which was evenly contested by both teams.
