Sadio Mane scored as Senegal thrashed Cameroon 3-1 to book their place into the knockout stages, MySportDab reports.
It wasn’t a pleasant 90 minutes for Andre Onana who couldn’t keep things calm in his first game at the AFCON 2023.
The Senegalese players made such they executed the match perfectly making sure they were able to advance into the next round with one game left.

Both teams were calm and collected as they hit the first half with a quick pace and tried to see what they could make happen going forward.
Cameroon did well enough in the early stages which saw them pushing through as Andre Onana took back his number one position despite arriving late to camp.
Senegal held on fine until they took the lead in the 16th minute with a goal scored by Ismaila Sarr who was able to ensure things became 1-0 going forward.
There was nothing else that could happen in the first half as the scoreline stayed 1-0 in favor of Senegal who had everything under control against Cameroon.
There was a lot more from both ends as they kept at it in the second half pushing with everything to make the game theirs before the end.
Cameroon did well pushing but they were unlucky as Habib Diallo increased the lead further by 2-0 with an amazing goal which came in the 71st of the encounter.
Senegal were cruising without any troubles until Jean-Charles Castelletto pulled one goal back in the 83rd minutes making things close between them 2-1.
It was far from over as Sadio Mane made sure he added another goal that made it impossible for their opponent in the additional time which was 3-1.
Senegal claimed a victory 3-1 against Cameroon ensuring their safe passage into the knockout stages with one game left to be played.
