There has been a major shake-up in the top 10 of FIFA latest men’s rankings after November international break, MySportDab reports.

The top 10 teams has seen some major changes with Brazil, England and Portugal switching positions based on their performance in the November international window.

England are the surprised package in the rankings as they have moved up two places to the 3rd spot – their best ever international standing.

The rise came despite a far-from-perfect results in their last two 2024 Euro qualifiers against Malta and North Macedonia.

The Three Lions comfortably saw of Malta in the first match in England but were held by North Macedonia in the last game away.

Brazil are the major losers in the latest rankings. The Selecao have dropped two places from 3rd on the standing to 5th.

Brazil’s fall on the global football map is not coming as a surprise after their underwhelming showing in their double header 2026 World Cup qualifiers match against Colombia and Argentina.

The Selecao stumbled to a defeat against Colombia in the first game before suffering a second consecutive defeat against World Champions Argentina in a violence-marred clash at the Maracana.

It was the first time they have lost a World Cup qualifiers at home and doing so against arch continental rivals against Argentina.

The back-to-back defeats weighed heavily on their rankings seeing them drop two places down.

Another major shuffle on the top 10 rankings is Portugal dropping one place down from 6th to 7th while Netherlands climbs up to 6th.

Belgium have risen to 4th on the rankings while Argentina retained their number one spot, including France in second place.

Spain, Italy, and Croatia retained their position on the 8th, 9th, and 10th position, respectively.
