AC Milan and Nigerian forward, Samuel Chukwueze, is set to endure an unwelcome hiatus from the football pitch due to a hamstring injury, which could keep him out of action for up to four weeks, MySportDab reports

The official announcement of Chukwueze’s injury was made by Milan on their website, confirming the setback for both the player and the club.

The injury occurred during Chukwueze’s international duties with the Nigerian national team. The former Villarreal winger featured in Nigeria’s 2-2 draw with Saudi Arabia but was forced to sit out their subsequent match against Mozambique, which Nigeria won 3-2.

Milan released a statement addressing the situation, stating that Chukwueze had suffered a left hamstring injury while on international duty.

Although AC Milan did not provide a specific timetable for Chukwueze’s recovery, sources suggest that hamstring injuries typically require a minimum of a few weeks on the sidelines, possibly stretching closer to a month.

This unwelcome setback will undoubtedly impact Milan’s upcoming fixtures, including key clashes against Juventus, Paris Saint-Germain, and Napoli.

Furthermore, there is the distinct possibility that Chukwueze will be unavailable for Nigeria’s crucial matches against Lesotho and Zimbabwe in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers scheduled for November.\

This is a matter of concern for both the player and the Nigerian national team, as they aim to secure their place in the global football extravaganza.

Chukwueze’s absence will be felt by both club and country, and Milan fans, as well as Nigerian football enthusiasts, will be hoping for a swift and successful recovery for the talented forward.
