FT: Azerbaijan 0-1 Belgium, Carrasco Goal Seal 3-POINTS! (VIDEO HIGHLIGHTS)
Belgium were able to beat off Azerbaijan in their Euro 2024 qualifiers match 0-1, MySportDab reports.
Yannick Carrasco scored a goal which made a lot of difference in the encounter that saw so much happening from them both.
The Belgians kept it going with another three points in the bag adding the what they already have put together.
The game was a close one between both teams who were decent and had so much happening from their end.
Azerbaijan were good enough from their end and it was fine for them as they didn’t slumber despite the pressure coming in.
Romelu Lukaku got close for Belgium but they couldn’t take the lead as the strike did not reach beating the goalkeeper and going inside the net.
It was a solid match between them until Yannick Carrasco scored the lead which had his side moving in front of their opponent in the 38th minutes to make it 0-1.
Belgium were on the good side as they finished the half with a 0-1 lead against Azerbaijan who had their moments on goal but failed badly.
There was more which came to play with both teams doing everything possible in the second half to secure something before the end.
It was more pressure from Belgium looking to make something else happen in the match which continued smoothly for them for the day.
Azerbaijan were still in the game but found it hard to make anything happen as it was tight and no freedom for them to score a goal for themselves.
The match was slow in the remaining minutes after they hit something around the 80th mark which saw more tactical work being deployed.
Belgium did not struggle much as they power through with a 0-1 victory giving them three points against Azerbaijan after the game ended.
