Amid the reactions, Rubiales’ mother, Angeles Bejar, has reportedly embarked on a hunger strike, asking all critics to stop the ‘witch-hunt’ on her son, whom she deemed innocent.

According to her, Hermoso has falsely accused his son of forcing the kiss on her leading to the heavy backlash.

She is asking for Hermoso to come out public and ‘say the truth’ about the incident so as to halt the witch hunt.

Angeles Bejar reportedly started the fast today after the backlash refuse to die down. She has reportedly vow to continue on the hunger strike until Hermoso says the truth.

Hermoso, who became Spanish Football Federation President in 2018, could face jail sentence lengthy ban if found guilty of the allegations.
