Cristiano Ronaldo Suffers Injury Blow in Arab Club Cup Win

Cristiano Ronaldo suffered a deadly injury blow in Al Nassr’s Arab Club Champions Cup victory over Al Hilal, MySportDab reports 

The Manchester United legend shouldered the responsibility nod leading the team to their first trophy since he joined thee club before being hit with the injury blow.

 

Ronaldo scored a brace,netting in regulation time and extra time as Al Nassr ran out with. 2-1 win over Al Hilal to win the 2023 Arab Club Champions Cup.

After his brace, Ronaldo did not continue the match to the end as he picked up a knock and had to be driven off the pitch through a buggy.

The extent of the injury is unclear but footage of the incident shows him plunging to the ground in excruciating pains as he called for help.

He was quickly attended by medical staff who drove him from the pitch through a buggy off the field.

While the extend of the injury remains unknown pending further examination Cristiano Ronaldo was on the bench with Al Nassr players after being driven off the pitch

He was seen celebrating the win with the club after the final whistle despite struggling to regain his balance.

More updates on the injury situation will be expected in the following hours as the five times Ballon d’Or winner will be expected to return to action soon with Al Nassr as the 2023/24 Saudi Pro League kicks off.

 

The Arab Club Champions Cup win is Cristiano Ronaldo’s first trophy with Al Nassr and his first silverware since he last win the Copa Italia trophy with Juventus in Serie A in 2021.
