Manchester United CONFIRM Kobbie Mainoo Injury Update

Manchester United have confirmed the injury situation of promising youngster Kobbie Mainoo, MySportDab reports.

Mainoo, who was tipped to make Erik Ten Hag’s first choice team, picked up a devastating ankle injury in Manchester United Vs Real Madrid preseason clash in the US.

He was subbed off in the first half and taken off to the stadium’s medical center for precautionary treatment with Christian Eriksen

There have been speculations on the seriousness of the injury but it was apparent the Man United youngster has suffered deep fracture due to the injury.

He was helped off the pitch as he limped off and was driven in a golf cart away from the stadium with his no shoe on his left leg.

Now, a statement on Manchester United website have confirmed Kobbie Mainoo will be ruled out for the first half of the season.

“Kobbie Mainoo is expected to be ruled out for the first part of the 2023/24 season.

“He has flown home from Tour to the UK where further assessment of his injury will take place before a medical decision on the next steps,” Manchester United club statement reads.

Mainoo was impressive since United kicked off their preseason campaign against Leeds United.

He has been handed four starts, including the Real Madrid game and was tipped to break into Erik Ten Hag’s lineup in the upcoming 2023/24 season.

Mainoo took to his social media handle to thank his fans for their support saying he will be back in no distant time.

He wrote, “I’ll be back stronger and in no time,” he wrote.Thanks for your messages of support.”

The youngster will be hoping to recover and pushed through his burgeoning career after the injury.
