FT: Sporting 2-2 Arsenal, Gunners Earn DRAW! (VIDEO HIGHLIGHTS)

Sporting CP hold Arsenal to a 2-2 draw at the Europa League round of 16 first leg encounter, MySportDab reports.

The Gunners were given a hard time in the first leg of the encounter which they now have to make sure they win at the Emirates next week.

First Half Report 

Both teams had a good first half which saw them making chances for themselves on goal and also hitting the back of the net.

Sporting CP were okay with everything in the early minutes as they did well enough in holding down their defense against their opposition for the match.

Arsenal had to wait until the 22nd minutes to score the opening goal which came from William Saliba that was able to make the scoreline 0-1 as it carried on.

The game continued with the home side coming in the 34th minutes with a goal scored by Goncalo Inacio after a wonderful teamwork leading to the finish 1-1.

The first half of the match came to an end with Sporting CP holding Arsenal to a 1-1 draw after 45 minutes of football which was played between the both of them.

Second Half Report 

The second half provided a lot of action coming from both teams who were perfect and they did a lot to make something happen.

Arsenal dominated the game but they couldn’t stop from making it 2-1 in the 55th minutes from another beauty which wasn’t expected to happen.

Sporting CP maintained a good composure in the match until an own-goal from Hidemasa Morita in the 62nd minutes to make it 2-2.

The game looked good in the remaining minutes which had both of them running up against themselves with hopes of taking the lead.

The scoreline didn’t change as Sporting CP held Arsenal to a 2-2 draw after 90 minutes played between the both of them for the evening with the second leg set to be the decider.
