Casemiro bags a red card as 10-man Manchester United held on to defeat Crystal Palace 2-1 in the Premier League, MySportDab reports. 

Manchester United dominated the game as the first half began, taking absolute control of proceedings from start.

The Red Devils hoped to revenge a last-minute drop of all two points at Selhurst Park in the first leg.

Just 6 minutes into the game, Crystal Palace conceded a penalty kick after VAR check. Hughes mistakenly handled Marcus Rashford’s cross into the box.

Bruno Fernandes took the spot kick and coolly stroke it into the bottom corner, sending Guaita to the wrong direction.

Despite taking the narrow 1-0 lead, Manchester United still dominated proceedings and nearly doubled the lead with Wout Weghorst header.

Crystal Palace improved immensely in the second half as they looked to come back into the game.

The substitution saw Marcus Rashford move into the central attack while Garnacho manned the left wing.

Three minutes after coming on, Garnacho brought instant impact providing an assist that saw Marcus Rashford double the lead in the 62nd minute.

After taking a two-goal lead, Manchester United were dealt a major blow as Casemiro bagged a red card in the 70th minute for attacking Hughes.

The Brazil midfielder was captured in a VAR footage using his two hands to grab Hughes in the neck after a short row ensued between the two teams on the pitch.

Crystal Palace galvanized on the one man advantage to put one back in the 76th minute, bringing the scoreline to 2-1.

10-man Manchester United survived late pressure by Crystal Palace and held on to win 2-1 after final whistle.
