Juventus have now been deducted 15 points in the Serie A by an Italian football court for its transfer dealings, MySportDab reports.

The national football federation (FIGC) announced the news on Friday night.

Juventus were third on the league table before the announcement with 20 games left in Serie A this season.

Now, the points deduction has pushed them down into 10th position and far outside the spots to qualify for European competition.

A football prosecutor had requested for a nine point deduction during a hearing looking at the way Juventus handled transfer and player swap with other clubs.

The court also banned former Juventus chairman Andrea Agnelli be banned from any official office in Italian football for two years.

A 30-month ban has also been given to Juventus’s former sports director, Fabio Paratici, now the current director of football at Tottenham.

The ban does not stop Paratici from working in other countries, but FIFA and UEFA could cause him problems.

In October 2022, the investigation officially started and Juventus have been waiting to discover the findings.

The investigation has revealed that Juventus misrepresented losses between 2018 and 2020, in regard to player sales.

The Juventus board resigned in November, and reports claimed it was due to the ongoing investigation.

Juventus denied any wrongdoing but the team will now suffer from the points deduction and now sit in 10th, 12 points behind the Champions League spots.
