Harry Kane scored as Tottenham advance into the next round of the FA Cup beating Portsmouth 1-0, MySportDab reports.
The goal scored by the England international was enough to earn his side the much needed victory as they advance into next round.
First Half Report
The first half was a tight one which none of them could find a way of making anything happen all through the 45 minutes.
Tottenham dominated things from the kickoff which saw them pushing a lot forward looking to make something good happen in the encounter.
It wasn’t looking good for Portsmouth who were playing most of the ball on their own half of the pitch and were only able to see little of the ball.
Both teams had their opportunities going forward in the game which saw Portsmouth coming close but couldn’t make anything happen.
The first half ended with Tottenham being held to a 0-0 goalless draw heading into the break against their opponent who gave a good account of themselves.
Second Half Report
The second half was more of the same which saw Portsmouth still holding back from going down in the encounter between them and their opponent.
Things pushed on more with so much happening that saw Tottenham almost making something happen but they eventually failed.
Spurs were able to take the lead in the 50th minutes of the game after a wonderful finish from Harry Kane who made the scoreline 1-0 for his side as they carried on going forward.
Nothing else came as they approached the 80th minutes with Portsmouth still couldn’t make anything happen as they were the far less better of both teams.
The encounter came to an end with Tottenham claiming a narrow 1-0 victory against Portsmouth after 90 minutes of football which saw them advance into the next round of the FA Cup.
