Marcus Rashford scored a stunning solo goal as Manchester United defeated Burnley 2-0 to progress to the last 8 of the Carabao Cup, MySportDab reports.

The Red Devils eased past Burnley in a thrilling round 16 clash.

Man United dominated the game from the first half and forced Burnley back to their own half.

It was another brilliant as the team put the poor results of the mid-season friendlies behind to win the game at Old Trafford.

Burnley lost on every angle of the game to the Red Devils. They managed 44% of the ball possession , while Manchester had 56%.

The Red Devils made a total of 538 passes, completing 442, while Burnley had 440 passes, completing 370.

Both sides managed a total of 21 shots. Burnley had 11 shots, with only 1 on target, while Manchester United had 10 shots with 6 on target.

It was another superior performance by Ten Hag as he led the team to a deserved 2-0 victory.

Christian Eriksen opened the scoring for the Red Devils in the 27th minute, before Marcus Rashford doubled the lead in the 57th minute.

Marcus Rashford’s goal was sensational. He had picked a solo run from the halfway line in the right flank and forced his way through the Burnley defence before forming a thunderbolt into the net to double the lead.

It was another breathtaking display by the England youngster as he continued in his good form this season for the Red Devils.
