First Half Report

The first half of the match was brilliant coming from both teams, but it was all about the Portuguese getting the job done so well for themselves.

It took Portugal just 11 minutes to score the opening goal which came from Goncalo Ramos which was able to make things 1-0 as it progressed forward between them.

Switzerland gave a good account of themselves also as the match carried on, but it wasn’t enough to result in anything good as they continued pushing against each other.

Another goal from the Portuguese made it 2-0 in the 33rd minutes which this time it came from defender Pepe who headed home to add something for his country.

The second goal was the only action as the first half came to an end with Portugal taking a 2-0 lead into the break against Switzerland after 45 minutes of football played between them.

Second Half Report

The second half was another excellent one for the Portuguese national team who made sure they sealed the job they had already started earlier.

Portugal continued dominating things going forward as another goal was scored from them and this time it was Goncalo Ramos who made it 3-0 and his brace in the 51st minutes.

Another one followed up as Switzerland went further behind 4-0 in the 55th minute from a Raphael Guerreiro stunning finish as things progressed.

Manuel Akanji pulled one goal back in the 58th minute making the scoreline 4-1 but it wasn’t looking easy as the match carried on further between them.

Goncalo Ramos scored a hat trick in the 67th minute of the game which was enough to increase the scoreline to 5-1 as more action continued.

Rafael Leao added another goal 6-1 in the 90th minute plus added time which came after Cristiano Ronaldo goal was called as offside.

The match ended with Portugal claiming an emphatic 6-1 victory against Switzerland which saw them setting up a quarterfinal date against Morocco who edge out Spain.
