Eden Hazard has confirmed his retirement after Belgium crashed out of the FIFA World Cup, MySportDab reports.

The former Chelsea player hasn’t been himself since he left Stamford Bridge where he established himself as a key man.

Eden Hazard has struggled both on the club and National team with his consistent injuries and fitness issues which rocked his career.

He completed a record breaking move to Real Madrid from Chelsea, but unfortunately, it wasn’t meant to be as he started badly.

His wasn’t the same player after the move which left him chasing shadows of his former self in England.

Eden Hazard have spent all his contract with Real Madrid not being able to show more than enough for the huge fee paid for his services.

The expectation of him replacing Cristiano Ronaldo was another failed attempt which the club has been paying for since he joined them.

Hazard was hoping the World Cup will be another chance of redeeming himself, but it did not work out as Belgium crashed out in the group stages.

He has now confirmed his retirement from National team today which was made public via his Instagram handle.

Here Is What He Said:

“Thank you for all this happiness shared since 2008. I have decided to put an end to my international career.

“The succession is ready. I will miss you….#onestensemble

His career will career on with Real Madrid where he hopes to make the best of the remaining years he has left to play.

His contract is also coming to an end with no option of prolonging it as Real Madrid don’t feel he is needed with the team any longer.

Eden Hazard could also leave Real Madrid in January or when the season comes to an end with him hoping to get more playing time.
