SAD! Armando Broja Ruled Out Of 2022/23 Football Season (Details)

Chelsea star Armando Broja has been ruled out of the 2022/23 football season following a cruciate ligament injury, MySportDabreports.

Broja will miss the rest of the season and undergo surgery after picking up the injury against Aston Villa.

He was taken off on a stretcher after a challenge on Aston Villa defender Ezri Konsa saw him hurt his knee.

The Chelsea striker sprawled to the ground and screamed out of pain, signaling severe and serious damage to the knee.

After the injury scare, he had a scan to ascertain the severity and seriousness of the injury as concerns mounted over his availability for the rest of the season.

Chelsea is reportedly more prepared to have him undergo a surgical operation to return him to fitness by repairing the damaged knee.

It has been confirmed that Broja will be laid off for a long time to enable him to recover fully from the operation which he will undergo.

If all goes as planned, he will only be able to play after six months, and that will see him ruled out throughout the 2022/23 football season.

This means he will only return in 2023/24 preseason friendlies and the injury is now a big blow to Chelsea as Graham Potter faces the massive task of reversing a series of bad results in the buildup to the World Cup break.

The 21-year-old was increasingly cementing his place in the Chelsea squad after Graham Potter took over the reins as the new manager.

Pierre- Emerick Aubamenyang is now Chelsea’s only other out-of-out striker, with Kai Havertz usually deployed in fall nine roles.
